How To Get There

From the crossroads at the centre of Aberfeldy follow the B846 over the River Tay. After about 3 miles the circle is visible from the road in a field to the south.

This was one of those sites that you just see on the map and head to in hope. Before seeing the stones I had neither heard or read anything regarding them.

Our luck was out for this visit. As you can see in the photograph, the farmer had a crop growing so I had to make do with the closest zoom I could through my lens. I later heard that one of the stones here is covered in cup marks and I would like to return at some time when access is possible.

The site is marked on the OS map (sheet 52) along with another formation just to the south beyond a stream which feeds into the Tay.

Reminder - never go tramping through a crop to get to a site. Leave it as one to look forward to another time.
