British Summer Attractions
If you are wondering where to go this summer on your holiday, you should consider staying in the UK. Not only will it save you having to spend ages at the Post Office changing your money over, but it can be less stressful as well, as you wont be worried about being late to the airport and missing your flight. According to The Guardian a third of Britons stay in the UK for their main holiday. Especially over the summer there are tons of attractions around the country to keep the average Brit interested.
Edinburgh: Each year Edinburgh is host to a month long celebration of the arts known as the Fringe Festival, starting on August 2nd there will be comedy, cabaret, theatre, exhibitions, music and dance. Even if you are low on funds there are free shows on offer so that as many people can enjoy them as possible. If you need somewhere to stay in Edinburgh, try Thrums Hotel which is a lovely, spacious Bed and Breakfast with experience of housing Fringe Festival attendees and rooms that start for as little as £35 a night.
London: London always has plenty to do, you could see a show, visit all the free entry museums or do your best to try and see the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Slightly more unique events happening this year are the London Film and Comic Con or perhaps you could try the Meltdown Festival which is a celebration of music across all genres, environmentalism, feminism and peace. If you need somewhere to stay that is cheap but chic in London then try Swinton Hotel, which is located near Kings Cross. So all your transport needs will be met and you will be close to other great attractions such as The West End, British Museum and the London Eye.
If you just do a bit of research it is easy to find lots of interesting and exciting things that are happening all over the UK, so save yourself the stress and try having a British summer holiday this year.
